Our music

Secret Best Friends combines their individual experiences and influences from barbershop, jazz and other styles to create a sound of their own. The quartet’s repertoire features a healthy mix of familiar favorites and lesser-known titles from the global canon of jazz standards.

Secret Best Friends collaborates with extraordinary arrangers such as Melody Hine, Patrick McAlexander, Andrew Carolan and Justin Miller to bring our sound to life. Our own James Pennington and James Isley also write arrangements for the group.
